July is proving to be a busy month for floral adventures. Along with visiting both lavender fields and sunflower fields, July also offers more Pick Your Own flower events around the country, RHS Flower Show at Wentworth Woodhouse, Sandringham Flower Show, Flower farm open days and a fabulous cut flower market in Sussex. Here are a few for you.
Pick Your Own
If you are visiting the South coast later this month then why not drop into Brothers Farm in Dorset visit their flower farm and cut your own flowers. I visited there in 2023 and it now has a lovely Flower Farm Cafe. If your travels take you to North Yorkshire, then pop over to Rowes at Priory Gardens in Gisborough. You can PYO in the grounds of a medieval priory on Sunday 27th July 10am-3pm plus various dates in August. To book and full details click here.
Flower Farm Open Day
Floral Media in Nottinghamshire are opening their flower farm as part of National Garden Open Scheme on 26 July 2025. Well worth a visit especially as they supply many florists with their gorgeous cut flowers. Details and to book here.
Flower Shows in July
RHS Flower Show Wentworth Woodhouse
July sees the new RHS Flower Show Wentworth Woodhouse in South Yorkshire (Rotherham) for the first time. Wentworth Woodhouse is one of the largest Georgian houses in England, built in approx. 1725. The RHS Flower Show is from Wednesday 16 to Sunday 20 July 2025 and features a floral marque, show gardens, flower school and floral installations including inside the house. If you were unable to go to Chelsea or Hampton Court Flower Shows then why not try Wentworth Woodhouse. Full details are here.
Sandringham Flower Show
Set in the magnificent surroundings of Sandringham Park with Sandringham House and Sandringham Church as a backdrop, Sandringham Flower Show 2025 takes place on Wednesday 23 July. Admission details and charges can be found here.
Cut Flower Market
Thursday 24 July sees the Rural Midweek Flower Market in Bolney, West Sussex. Run by The Homegrown Market, herself a florist, it brings together cut flowers from growers all over Sussex. As well as buckets and buckets of freshly cut flowers, plants and garden seedlings are also for sale. It sounds a British flower lovers dream! Entry to the public is from 10am and you can buy tickets here.
And finally

I will be at the Heckington Show, the largest village show in England in the heart of Lincolnshire (Sleaford) on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th July 2025 along with Evolve/British Flowers Direct so do come along and say hello. Hope to see you there.
As we build our British flowers community, please do support us by encouraging your friends and family who love flowers to join us too. Please forward this onto them and ask them to sign up to receive our newsletter here. Thank you!
Supporting British flowers with me here costs nothing – I am not selling anything but simply suggesting where you can buy and see British grown flowers and none of the suggestions here are paid promotions.
Until next month,
Elizabeth
